I live in B.C. and plan to climb Sysiphus Summits in the next little while. For my preparation I was wondering if anyone could tell me the grade of each pitch (I haven't bought the guide book yet). I know that there are around two or three 5.10d's but that's all that I can remember. Any other beta would be most appreciated. Thanks. Matt

These are all bolted and fully bolted belay stations set up every 25M so the entire climb can be done with a single 50M rope. Expect to take about 7 hours or more, and wear a helmet as rockfall is common. Bring a good pair of shoes for the hike down the backside.

I climbed that thing last year on one of the hottest days of the summer. Don't get on it too early or you'll be in the sun for the whole ascent. It's a fun climb, enjoy.

don't forget too, that if you bring a 60m rope and 22 QD's you can link many of the pitches on the climb and reduce your time to around 5-6 hrs.

pick up this book at mountain Magic in Banff on Bear St. It'll tell you everything you need to know about climbing the good routes around the bow valley

I climbed it in late august, and it was cccold. So check the weather report and be prepared for anything.

And I second the helmet recommendation, there is a ton of loose rock up there!
