Hey there, I've been trying the Pro Tip #2 steep wall training on http://www.climbxmedia.com after even a few moderate moves my elbow really starts aching before i get remotly tired... is this due to the tree-froggin my legs since your not supposed to drop or twist your lower body, thus putting more strain on my ligaments? anyone out there have any advice to condition elbows a little better

Yeah, it's called tendonitis. Be wary of this, as it can follow you all of your climbing career. Do a search of the topics on here and you will find quite a few threads concerning the matter that should give you some advice on it. Take it from me, I know. Not only am I the Elbow Tendonitis Club president, I am also a client. M@ [ This Message was edited by: jdean on 2002-07-11 04:00 ]

oh yeah, same here. be really cautious of that. i pushed it just a bit too much, i ended up taking a full month off, and had to ice my elbow after climbing. i iced it after i lost my ego about "bearing the pain"

Whenever I down campus my left elbow will start to hurt. I can campus up, but down hurts my elbow. Just avoid the activity that hurts (if you can really narrow it down), ice it after you climb (best if you go ice heat ice heat I believe {works for me}), and enjoy.
