I've been very impressed with the number of people who are actually going out and doing things....(or at least talking about it here!)
Got my act together and have resigned from the job. Time to play - rock climbing until Christmas time I hope (if my arms / fingers / legs, can survive the madness that is about to ensue). Does anyone else have a burning ambition to just go for it, and push yourself to your limits? It frightens and excites me - awesome.
Back on subject - I've done a wee bit of travelling/climbing before around Yosemite and Joshua Tree. Now I'm planning to hit mainland Europe (currently residing in rain drenched Scotland). My question is:
Where is a good place to start around the 20th August?
Maybe Fontainbleu? Some cragging high up around Chamonix?
Would a car be recommended (I'm driving a real bag of bones, which may be a perfect trip car!), or just a pain if you can use public transport?
All the best and see you on the crag somewhere......
PS And see you in the pub!
