Well although this is not really a gathering, all are invited. Myself and clymber are meeting in the Gunks the weekend following Independance day weekend. That will be Saturday/Sunday 13/14th July. I think we will be staying at the Trapps Tenting Area. For anyone who missed the Gunks gathering or just wants to come climbing, either post or PM for more details.

punk if you do make it up there goto "The Deli" at the end of 299 around 830 Friday nite. Ill be there waiting for the darkside. I have a black cherokee with a RC.com sticker on the back window..see ya there

Latecomers: I suggest checking camp slime, maybe calling Lew or Grant and then Saturday morning we will leave a "RC.com" note on the noticeboard of the Uberfall kiosk. Come and find us, looking forward to seeing all RC.com'ers.

Doh! I wish I could make this. I only have sunday off and New Paltz is much to far for a day trip from here. Perhaps yet another trip to the Gunks in Aug. or perhaps even in the Dacks. Have fun.

Punk:wether you hook up with clymber at the deli or camp slime is up to you however you may want to be around camp when I arrive with my "bubba".
I hope the bubba's aren't sold out this week, if I can get one it'll get cracked on my arrival Friday night.
Sorry to hear you'll not make it melonhead, more bubba for me.

Hi it was allot of fun…I don’t know what up with the climbers at the gunk's ….no one wants bubba…So, as long that u didn’t mind hauling my fat ass up….Man , I need to get back in shape (right now Im in abstract shape) ….I think losing something like 50lb will make life better…god Im getting OLD wha wha wha wha

Well I arrived Friday evening pretty much on schedule to find a fairly quiet camp slime apart from the two RC'ers and passenger girl at the gate, knocking back pilsner and black & tans. I was surprised to find punk didn't have a body suit of piercings and clymber still has no hair.
Saturday morning started late in the Near Trapps with me battling the offwidth of Yellow Ridge. It WAS NOT a volunteer mission then punk went MIA on the 2/3 pitch. We then did a couple of other routes but as my memory is classified as top secret I cannot recall the names. While doing them we met two other RC users from Montreal, Kurt and Erik. These polite Canadian guys were soon to be corrupted by the slandering effects of darkside, clymber, and punk and now winterlute and Kurt(changing his user ID anyway) are slamming each other with RC style After deciding to retreat to camp, Clymber decided on one last barefoot mission. To rescue some booty gear from a climb near a roof. He roped up and launched out and up. After retrieving his objective he downclimbed and has since put his black and yellow tape on the gear to mark his LEAF and COBWEB
Saturday night we cracked the bubba but I think we must have picked the weekend the prohibitionists were in town. Apart from one girl from the Czech Republic, Martina, most people didn't want to associate with the obnoxious guy called clymber.
Sunday the Montreal boys headed for an early start on High E but not early enough. Meanwhile punk and the gf left for breakfast and were supposed to find us in the Uberfall later. I don't know what passengergirl put in the eggs but Punk went MIA again After a couple of routes in the Uberfall Kurt and Erik showed up again and we all tried Low Exposure on TR. Low E is an over hanging offwidth that bit 3-4 people in the same spot on the right hand, chewed everyone up and spat off all who tried.
After a last climb on a combination climb/caving route called the Keyhole we ceased hostilities and retreated to break camp.
Another weekend was over for this warrior with the exception of a long drive back to Canada. Glad to meet a couple of newer RC users and hope to see you all again before too long. PM me about The Red when you get a chance Erik.

A good time was had by all over the weekend except for the fact I was over taken by a heard of Canuks.The Grantster was the leading madman as always and I definitly recall you volunteering for the first pitch Sat. He followed a 10+ that I lead with the ease and grace of a dancer. On ACID. As for the 2 Canadians we meet up there the one hashis head in the right spot by living in NY state if even only for the summer. He will get a taste of the good life and move here. It should be to hard for you to get the Green Card since you are the 51st state..LOL
