Its there for good reason. The tape is to keep people on the proper trail and minimize erosion. To me, it is not a significant impact, since 99.99 % of the people hiking that way are climbers.

My husband used to run a rock climbing camp for kids. He'd tie caution tape to any areas with poison oak or poison ivy to remind the kids to stay away. He always took the tape with him when he left though.

Rumney??? isn't that that chosspile where Dave Graham put up that 14d that got bouldered and downrated to V11??? Maybe if someone used some cement, spraypaint, and drilled some "foolish" two-finger pocket climbs it would be a worthy crag.

You information sucks and is wrong. Graham doesn't bolt routes, he just climbs them. And he never rates anything over 14b. Plus, when it was 'bouldered', it was done so with something like 20 crash pads stacked at the base. Hardly a typical boulder ascent. Its considered V13. You want to criticize Dave Graham? You go send China Beach, Livin Astro, the Fly then come back here a talk. My guess is that you will stay in NYC and climb boulders in Central Park.
