I don't know the answer to your question, but you may want to post you message here -> http://www.drtopo.com/forums/

You'll find mostly French speakers, but hopefully, they'll forgive you ;)

Enjoy your stay in Chicoutimi!

Hey,

I live in chicoutimi during the school year and am in a outdoor program there. If you want rock climbing thats near, they have a little wall at the sports pavillion at the university. Just on the north side of the river across the only bridge, on the west side of the bridge road, theres some rocks called "les 24 heures". Always open to climbing with top rope. At the top of the hill beside that, theres a cross and just below that cross (its really visible from afar, there is lots of climbing, top rope and leading. Basically all the climbing is right on the edge of the river on the north shore stretching towards the west. Depending on where you live in chicoutimi, it could be a short walk or up to at the worst a bit over a hour. Have fun and wednesdays at the gym is the saguenay climbing club day, they could tell you where to climb. I think they gather at around 7:00.

Have fun in chicoutimi, atleast its warm during the summer :-)
