Gotta question...
I'm trying to get my boyfriend interested in all this stuff but i just don't manage to do so as he comments that he's got far too big feet to be able to climb. He's got a 48 in Spain (don't know how to converse that in american)but it's true that he's got pretty big feet.
I told him that it doesn't have anything to do....but he just doesn't believe me....am i right?
Is it easier for climbers with small feet to climb?
Thanks all!
Laura

Just like being a kid.If you got small feet you have more rubber on the rock rather then if you have big feet.Really thats not an excuse though.I have a phobia of heights and Im still climbing. You can't let big feet stop you.

Get him on the rock.If he's like most of us he won't care.He will be instantly addicted!!!

My climbing shoes are size 12 (us)

My approach shoes are 12 1/2

my regular shoes are 13-14, depending on the type of shoe.

Yes, having big feet sucks.

Haha, he's got no problem. I'm a size 15 usa, which I think is something like a 50 or 52 in european sizes and I have to go find climbing shoes in what i'm told should be a 14 usa. That's still huge, but I can tell you about my first time on the wall because it's still fresh in my mind. First time I went at it, I tried to use tennis shoes, that DOES NOT work with really big feet, I happen to also wrestle for my highschool, so I used my wrestling shoes, which actually worked extremely well, they have a flexible sole, grip pretty well, and are very tight on my feet because you need good leverage on the mat. I'm sure that if he doesn't have wrestling shoes (most people don't) then he could just rent some climbing shoes, most gyms i'm told have them stocked to a pretty large size. If you want me to give him a verbal kick in the arse I'd be more than happy to. He'd also best watch out for my giant metaphorical foot!! MUHAHAHAHAHA
