In reply to: Overlord, Wow, cool pics! s--- man, how close were your seats? Those must have cost a fortune! They came here (BXL) a couple of months ago, but I think tickets were sold out like a couple of years in advance. those are not my pics. i just took them from the tour site. sadly my camera bat charger broke on me jsut as i was about to leave and i couldnt replace it. i was on the stands, probably near the right eedge of the second flag pic. me and my gf considered getting the floor tickets but decided agaist it. and we were really lucky. you shouldve seen the lines at the entrance for the floor. we just strooled through, no line at all. tickets were about 50euros i believe, or even a but less. we considered going to vienna but it was sold out at all angencies that make concert trips in slovenia before we could make up our mind. and a friend we had in vienna couldnt get them because they were sold out in 10mins. so we ended up going to poland. and id love to go on another show. but i guess ill have to wait. and the damn weathermen lied. still raining

Morn' folks! Time for some early morning Euro-chat! Had a great weekend climbing in the Morgenbachtal of Bingen. Played with my trad gear to get the shine off it... not necessarily needed, but I love to reduce bolt spacings wherever I can :P Any good news from Belgium/Slovenia/UK? - Daniel

Hardly good news... We had some thunderstorms recently but I was lucky to avoid all of them being in the right part of the country at the right time. 8^) What region of Austria do you live in? I'm not an expert but I spent a couple of holidays in the Salzburger Land and in Kärnten. - Daniel

Saturday it rained, and forecast for Sunday said rain, too, so we didn't go. It turned out to be kinda sunny all Sunday, tho. :?

By the way- you'll all think I'm weird when I say this- I love sandstone! It was the first rock I ever lead on, so it may just be nostalgia... I'm off to the Dolomites for 4 days now, leaving tonight. Yippeee! My first trad leads are coming up!

But his climbing pants (same pair for the last 5 years) have long, deep conversations with God about letting them die. How hot is that :!: :D

Gotta get to the Dachstein once. But the ultimate goal for me would be the 'Wilder Kaiser' as my parents were there about 30 years ago. Gotta do this one with my younger brother. Still there's some Alpine experience to gain before...

I'd really love to do some multi-pitch trad but I just started throwing chocks and stuff. Maybe I'm lucky and American girl gets me some Aliens when she comes in two weeks. Wooohooo! Than I just need some time and money to get to a fecking mountain... - Daniel

In reply to: Bla bla bla blablabla bla. Keep hearing the same story for months now. Maybe it never works out b/c you go with your "european hottie". At least I have an excuse: bad weather. Heiko first: YOU ARE NOT NICE. Second: If there are no trad leads for me this weekend, the Universe will be setting fire to Paolo's pants. Preferably in public, while he is wearing them.

Btw, if you only could see the Brenta Dolomites the way I can see them from my office window now. Weather is _fantastic_ today.

You will see them next Friday when I'm back in the office. Second item: why, god, why is there no little animated smiley with a BIG MIDDLE FINGER. :?: I have an amazing view of a rainy flat field. Actually, the person two cubicles down has a view. I stare at a wall.

Now maybe it's time to discuss what's better: 1) Sitting in a cubicle staring at a wall and knowing it's rainy or 2) Staring at the Dolomites in the sunlight and still sitting in a cubicle. I really can't decide. Maybe I'd prefer the latter just 'cause I'm a constant daydreamer... - Daniel
