Seriously though, if you are risking death by falling off whatever you are climbing, I highly doubt you are 'bouldering'. I think the proper term for that would be 'free-soloing'.
...one man's boulder is another man's free-solo...

I agree with sba, some boulder problems i have seen are very tall.
but i don't think i know about any boulder problems that have climbed lives...

cranking queenie at stoney point has claimed a life. The route is over hung and from what i understand he fell off and hit his head on a rock that is in the landing. No spotter.
