Many climbers have their own personal opinions on which brand is the best. In my area Sterling seems to reign supreme. Most sport climber i know prefer the Sterling 10.3 marathon. Now I am preparing to buy a new sport rope and i was just wonder what some other people thought was the best brand.

I have a Sterling 10.3 Marathon and a 9.6 Nitro. Sterling is definitely a good rope. A lot of people also like the Mammut Tusk 9.8. M@

Everyone has their opinions. I like the feel of Sterling, but the durability of PMI. Bluewater is right in the middle. For sport I recommend the 60 meter 9.6 by Bluewater and PMI.

I have a bluewater, 10.5 and I hate it. It has a lot of wear, and it just got flat spots yesterday. I have had it less than a year, and it should be good for two years, but I don't see it making it two years. I can promise you that I will not buy bluewater again. Gabe
