I've climbed with all sorts of cuts and scrapes on my arms and legs from different wrecks. Just try not to stretch the skin too much and keep it covered the best you can.

I hit my 'deeper' wounds with neosporin the night before.... and keep it covered while I sleep. The next morning, I change the dressing, and keep it moist with neosporin.

This helps me when I move. The scab isn't all crack-ly. I got this tip from my buddy's wife..... and it works great. I had a nasty rope burn under my knee (Yup leader fall - at least I didn't flip too). Every time I moved, I was in agony.

Almost healed now...

Sweat may bother it if you climb in the heat. Ouch, happened to me and it stung like a demon.

As K9rocko said use Neosporin Ointment or use a triple antibiotic ointment or bacitracin ointment. Keep it moist with the ointment and wrap it during the night to keep it extra moist. It prevents the road rash from cracking open and hurting, especially when sweat drips onto the abrasion.

yep, but kinda worse

I was rollerblading...steep hill...
not a good combination.

I got a Huge-ass scrape the size of my hand blow my knee, and underneath my ass, and forearm, it was scary, I couldn't sit down for a few days, and still went climbing...

The harness didn't work for me too well, it was bouldering for me~!

I would just keep it covered as you climb so you don't get anything in it

I've with cuts, scrapes, and poison ivy. If possible, wear a long sleev T-Shirt so the skin will be less likely to get irritated,

just be careful on the rock. Rope burn/friction burn opens up again very easily. I have rope burn on my forearm and went climbing on slab yesterday.. Just brushing it against the rock started it bleeding. I would try and wrap it with a strip of gauze or such and wear long sleeves/pants
