Hey all... Here is a link to a very well done bouldering vid with a little bit of culture, a little bit of soul, and a coupla BIG falls. A group of pro american climbers go to nepal to climb/boulder (I know there are freaking mountains there, that's not the point...) and get to know some child porters while they are there. A lot different than regular vids as there is a higher purpose to the climbing that they are doing. Good stuff, worth the click!!! http://www.modump.com/videos/motivation/karma.php

Watched the vid. I had met Adam a few times a couple years ago bumming around in the Valley, he is a great man. When I met him it seemed to me that he had a good heart and seeing the video reinforces my first impression of him. Last month we were in Nepal, in the same region as they were and made friends with a number of Sherpani and Newari people and I can honestly say that I have never met nicer people willing to work so hard for so little. And, on top of this, even give more than they have to make you feel welcome. It wasn't uncommon for sherpas carrying loads close to 100lbs to try and step asaide for us carrying much less. For the group I was leading I hired three porters, and now after coming home I would still call these people dear to me, as others in my group would most certainly feel the same as well. When I have put trips together for Nepal, I always get comments regarding the Maoists, but the Maoists have never hurt and don't intend to hurt tourists. Nepal is a country whose ONLY economy is tourism. So in support of this video and of Nepal and its wonderful people I hope that people who read this have a little stronger urge to go to the top of the world.
