Eating more now than ever before!

I've noticed that since making climbing and other excersizing as part of my regular life that I am eating more now than ever before. As a matter of fact, if I don't have a substantial lunch or enough snacks during the day, I find myself shaking and getting kind of dizy.

I used to be someone who called morning coffee my breakfast and just eat a little bit at noon. Now I need breakfast... and my lunch... and a snack... and a snack before dinner... And boy, I can't wait for dinner!

Do any of you notice changes in your eating habits or body since you started climbing? I think I am more healthy now than ever before and I think I owe it to climbing.

the more you exert yourself and the more you use your body, the more 'fuel' it needs, so the more you eat... when i was training for swimming, and doing a lot of cardio endurance stuff i would carb load huge meals for breakfest, lunch AND dinner because i was burning so many calories a day

sometimes i wonder if eating so much now will make me gain weight, but i've LOST weight.. i'm the lightest i've ever weighed, feel the healthiest and strongest too, all while eating whatever i want as much as i want :)

Which over the years tends to cause fatty deposits to build up in your coronary arteries until one day BAM!, you have a massive heart attack.

Oh Man, you ought to see the way I eat after my workouts. One day i was craving good unhealthy pizza, and i ended up eating the whole thing and some wings from Domino's. I haven't eaten like that since junior high when i was 212 pounds. Pretty funny that i weigh less now than i did in junior high and half a foot taller. But since i started working out 3-4 times a week i can eat like that every once in a while and not gain any.

Yep, I eat loads and loads and loads, and I've gained muscle weigth since I started climbing- my friends who knew me before I started climbing say I look much healthier now, and my waist is actually smaller, woohoo! I still eat pretty healthfully though, just a TON of it. Although I've been known to consume a post-climbing pizza myself, too.

the real trick my friends is to eat healthy and light while maintaining a serious workout regiment.
bottom line is this, the lighter the better. there is no arguing this.
