Does anyone have any information on Madrone? I was climbing at Broughton a couple of weeks ago and was talking with a fellow climber who said that he done some great climbing on Madrone this season. He said that technically it was still closed to climbing but are that "they" were no longer enforcing it. Is there any truth to that? Is anyone else "sneaking" in there to climb? If so where can I get some info on the routes?

The madrone Wall is still closed, but people do sneak in there and climb on occasion. You can get route info out of the old portland climbs book.

Wonderbread is correct, but please be low key when you use to area. Don't park in front of entrance. I know of 2 people who have recieved tickets. The cops actualy walked up to the cliff in one case. Try and car pool because the neighbors down the street don't like the cars that park down there as it is without adding more cars. Don't get in an accident, a rescue will cause more trouble and they will charge you with trespass. The county did that even before the current situation. The area has always been technicaly closed. Please don't blow it for everyone else.
