I've been climbing for 4yrs so I know how ya feel bout all the guy stuff. Its hard being in a sport where males feel they are dominating.

i'm 14 y/o but i'm male, been climbing since i was 8.
i know some climbing chicks but i don't make a difference if my climbing-partners are male or female! But they seem to do :shock:
most of my climbing-partners are older, really usefull to bring you to the rocks! :wink: but that's doesn't make a difference.

Hey- I'm a 15 year old girl, and I've been climbing for about a year (send V3/V4, with the occasional V5). I don't really have many girl friends that climb, and so I climb mostly with the guys. Yeah, it's fun climbing with the guys and all (they motivate me to climb harder), but with only one girl friend who climbs, it gets a little boring...

I am a guy and I mostly climb with teengagers aobut my age (16.) There are two "climber chicks" in my schools outdoor skills program (15 and 18)and they are some of the chllest people I have ever meet. It's too bad I can't climb with them more often.

Hey folks, I'm glad you're hooking up with each other, and I encourage you to do so. Just want to remind you that not everyone on the Internet who says they're a teenager is actually a teenager. Be safe and smart about hooking up ... go in groups, all that good stuff.

Well yes I'm also a *quite* young (14) ok well VERY young but hey that doesn't matter we all love climbing...well if you dont get lost (no offense) just its pointless being on ere.....
anyway good climbers usually start young, you gain experience, I climbing better than many oldies climbers but I'm a lot worse than many of them too...hmmm o well I'm happy 2 chat to anyone my hotmail addy should be available somewhere...

i'm 14... aparently very young....been climbing for about 3 years. I started climbing with a few people in their 20's and then met some others that are closer to my age, so the ones that are my age are my gym partners and when i go outdoors, its with the older ones (i obviously cant drive yet which is the main reason... that and lack of gear) it doesnt happen too often tho, school being one of the main reasons. i find that really i can climb with anyone as long as they know im not just there to waste their time. like most, i dont see the excitement of going shopping or to a movie on the weekend, i'd rather be climbing or biking or something. I think i would rather climb with someone older than me, but at times its a bit hard when they forget about my age or they invite me to go somewhere with them and my parents won't let me go because im not 18 yet... it doesnt really matter to me who i climb with though, as long as they know what they're doing.

Yep, 17! I don't find the age thing bothers me most of the time. I quite enjoy chilling with the older peeps anyways! That said it's nice to climb with people your own age as well sometimes. There's not very many young people in my area into climbing, especially girls.

17 year old climber chick here. There aren't any female climbers my age who climb in my area, but I don't mind climbing with slightly older people. A few years here or there doesn't really change people.
