If this has been brought up before, feel free to lock this, I don't wanna browse for hours.
My question is for those of you that smoke, those of you that don't, don't respond with smoking is grose or whatever, we know how you feel. So, what is your favorite brand/make of cigarette? Why? What ones do you feel are particularly nasty? Why?

i dont smoke and sometimes i dont mind smokers. SOMETIMES, like outdoors and where you cant get rid of them. i dont allow smokin in "my" car or flat.

marlboro menthol light 100's in a box.
I absolutely love to smoke cigarettes, but my health is more important to me.

i smoke a pipe, does that count?? (not that kind of pipe any more!!) black cavendish, my favorite aromatic tobacco. mmmmmm, good stuff.
sorry to post this in the cig. topic but i didn't want to start a copycat thread about pipes. (too many lame jokes about crack and mary j.)

same reason i smoked pot, spydermonkey..same reason monkeys, if given a choice, will choose stimulation of the portion of the brain dealing with ecstasy instead of food.

yes its true. put em in a cage, wire up their brains..there's two levers in the cage. one is food. the other stimulates the ecstasy center of the brain. the monkeys died from starvation.

Yeah push is right about the monkeys. I was reading a study in Biological Anthro about it a few weeks ago.
For me smoking is almost a religous experience.
Tobacco in its south american form (tobbacus Rustica) is 18% nicotine, as opposed to its watered down commercial form (tobbacus virginica) which is usually 1-1/2% nicotine
In this form it is used in as a very effective hallucinogen by Mayans and is a cornerstone of their religion.

yeah, the native americans used tobacco as a sacramental herb(i think thats the right term), sorta like peyote, and the catholics with their wine..

smoke du Maurier regular among other stuff seemingly unmentionable but which I am sure by now you can figure out. Will quit tobaco when studies are over (hopefully). but for now a computer screen triggers a craving for coffin nails

Smoked hand-rolled "Drum" cigarettes for a couple years. That's some strong, tasty stuff!
I also like American Spirits smokey treats- lights or regs. Again, tasty and thick- this time with a filter. Pricey.
Quit a few years back though- health declining too rapidly. Asthmatics really shouldn't take up the hobby of smoking.
Still long for the occasional lung full of thick smoke, though. Loved it. I just thought continued breathing was more important. (sigh)

I'm with the Turk Golds. Onbelay_osu: have you ever tried Turkish Royals? I think they're very similar to the golds, just a bit different.

the royals for some reason i think are too harsh, i dont know i have only smoked one pack, maybe i should give it another try! but i do love my golds!

MMMMM Players light is my brand, unfortunatley the provincial government has beat the snot out of smokers latley, we where baned from smokeing in any building (includeing pool halls and bars/pubs) they felt that that wasn't enough so they hiked the price about $1.00 Canadian (about $0.50 for you americans) that again wasn't enough so they hiked the price another $1.00, so now to buy a pack of butts at the local 7-11 will run you about $8.00 per pack (up from about $5.25) for those of us that are used to smokeing about a pack a day it is getting crazy (I saw a homeless guy mug some dude because he wouldn't give him a smoke)
ahhhh twice the price with half the rights gotta love the provincial government

I smoke Marlboro Light 100's. I have worked my way down from Reds, to Mediums, to Lights, to Light 100's. Can't stand Ultra Lights. If I want to suck air, I'll just breathe.
Anything Camel is nasty to me. Just a bad flavor. Also, I'm not particularily fond of menthol, though I have this really wierd habit of having a Halls cough drop with my cig (don't ask, long story).
However, I used to smoke two packs a day (for those that don't know, that is 40 cigarettes a day) and now only smoke between 2 and 5 in a day. Why don't I just quit then, you may ask? Because I like cigarettes with my beer. When my wife and I join our friends on Friday night for a bonfire or bar, I drink and smoke socially (however, then I chain smoke when I drink).

They're in a sealed pouch, and mine is always a bit moist. But then I smoke the Caporal, not the Shag.

No... It's stringy, just a bit milder than the Shag. When the pounch is opened, it's a moist brick almost. Have to tear off the amount needed, and makes it easy to roll.
I have gotten some dry crap before from other smoke shops, so I think a good Importer is needed to get the fresh stuff.
