you have two options send them out and pay an arm and a leg or find a buddy with a slide scanner and decent printer. I doubt its going to cost you any less than a buck a print

Walmart does them. Its like 30 slides converted for $3. My boss just had a box full converted. He spent about 20 or 30 bucks

if you wanna keep a copy of them scan them on your friends scanner then take and have them printed by walmart online and you can have them mailed to you. that way you wont even have to be seen in walmart haha. -Aaron

Costco's 1-hr place also does them for 19 cents per 4 x 6 or 59 cents per 5 x 7. They're not super-duper high quality but it's a good deal.

Honestly you get what you pay for (most of the time). Walmart can make good prints if the technician gives a crap and adjust them some. However, if you have anything worth printing send it to digital scanning service with a good reputation, then adjust and print the digital file yourself (or at walmart) The Fuji Frontiers walmart uses and the crystal archive paper are top notch. However, it's better to have them scanned and then print them yourself. Little know fact is Walmart can digitally scan at any resolution they can print. You can get a 10Mp full frame jpeg from walmarts scans but they default resolution is only 2Mp, barely big enough for a 5x7. If they scanned at 8x12 it could take an 1/2 hour a roll even with the high powered Frontier system.

Though prints can be made directly from slides, a quality scan is defnitely the way to go - you can print them again very easily and with consistent results. So you want EVERY single image from the roll printed? $36 sounds pretty cheap for visible images of timeless moments.
