Hey Guys, I've been looking for ways to take better advantages of these chinooks. I've done most of my climbing around Jasper etc. but live in Calgary now. We've been going out to Wasootch occasionally and its been good. It's been fun to climb rock in the winter. I've been wondering if there are any reccomended spots that tend to get the sun and/or chinooks? Nothing too crazy, up to around 5.10 if bolted, or 5.8 if trad. Thanks a ton for any suggestions. Cheers. Spence

8^) Hey Spence, I am happy to hear your making use of Wasootch! Make sure you check out Barrier as well, I have climbed there many a day durning the winter. And the secret magical place like White Budda!!!!!!!!!!! You can boulder your heart away and climb short routes up there. The short routes are keep in climbing all winter! Don't go before 10 or 11 cauze the sun wont be around but when it does come out you'll be laughin! Bring a few hot shots (those little warmer pads) and pop emm in you chalk bag. If you want a little more challenge check out Battan in your sport climb guide book. It's a long approach and there's alot of hard routes but on a sunny day there is no other place I'd rather be. Enjoy the wonderful area you have moved to. I miss it greatly, but I will be back. SOON! Oh yeah and the 5.10a in the middle of White Buddha had awesome jugs along it however if it's been cold before the chinook came they may still be filled with ice. The slabby climbs are the winners on these days! Have fun and keeping pullin down
