i know its a kids book, but i really think that every adult should read the books. and believe me once you start reading them u wont be able to put them down. i read all 4 books in about 2 weeks. so everyone go get yourselves the first book, either buy it or borrow it.

I think they're fun books, definitely worth a read. Not totally your average kids book though. I was impressed with the series when I went to wait in line with my daughter at midnight to get the first copies of the last (fourth) book. Here were a couple hundred kids in this one store all waiting for a book, like tickets to a rock concert. Their intensity was infectious.

"The Philosopher's Stone" was possibly the best airplane book (read on an airplane- not about airplanes) I've ever read.

I bought the whole collection on CD I listen to it when I drive to smith rock. It is one of best series I have ever listened too. I would say it is a must listen.

I agree with all of the person above... Anyone must read-it. Once you start reading, it's really hard to stop. Almost finish the 4th book and already waiting for the 5th book that is suppose to be releise very soon (a bit late I think!).
