Las Vegas hosts its first Red Rock Canyon Adopt-A-Crag on Saturday, January 21, 2006.
Red Rock Canyon suffered several wildfires in 2005 that left hundreds of acres charred. The loss of vegetation exposed many braided trails, especially in the high-traffic areas at the first and second pullouts. This year's Adopt-A-Crag will take place at the Panty Wall area of the first pullout.
Mountaingear.com along with Friends of Red Rock, the BLM, and the Las Vegas Climbers' Liaison Council are proud to host this event in order to rebuild trails, replace bolts and keep the rock walls of Red Rock Canyon safe and accessible to all climbers and outdoor enthusiasts.
