I take all my gear to the climbing comps that I have been to, just because I have it all in a backpack. The only things I ever used is my harness and shoes. They almost always have everything set up and ready to go. A pencil to write notes on your card or the climbing sheet is handy. Also all weather gear. I went to a comp on the snake river one time and stood there in the rain for about 1.5 hours. After that, the sun came out and we had an unbelievable day of climbing. Also carry water, tape and first aid. You don't want to have something keep you from finishing the day. Jared

Hman A good attitude and lots of energy! Also if the comp is not going to have a snack table (some do some don't) bring some snacks and drinks. Most comps are 3-4 hrs. long, we find that a re-fuel is needed about half way thru a comp. Good luck, by the way are you planning to compete in Phillys Midnight Burn Comp? It's awsome!! Hope to see you there. Mad River

Cytomax. That drink helps in quick recovery, increased Oxygen efficiency, super energy, etc. Love it!!

Philly is having a comp? When is it and where? I use to live in the city and still visit on a regular basis.
