What has been your highest fall from bouldering - with or without injury.
I fell from 3M onto no mat luckily the ground was soft and i landed well? How about you guys

I fell mantling The Crown at HP40 about 4 years ago. The fall was around 12 feet I think, maybe a little more. I had a pad, but landing still kinda sucked.

25-30 feet multiple times on a project. never sent it and i didnt want to headpoint it.

Might consider changing your thread title - after certain heights it no longer becomes bouldering - highballing, free soloing depending on the danger involved if you were to fall.
I know people who have seriously fractured stuff from 2 feet off the ground and i ve landed falls from 25 feet without injury - although once you start getting onto 20+ feet depending on landing (spotters,pads,terrain,etc) i consider a highball

In reply to: I blew the mantle on the Overhangatang Boulder in Hyalite. ~12 feet... Missed the pad and assed out on a stump. It sucked, but it only really hurt for a day or two.
My butt hurts just thinking about that. ach
I fell off the mantle of Tick Or Tie at HP40 and landed nicely on my pad. The ground there falls away down a hill rather steeply, and I slid off the pad and rolled head over ass for about fifteen feet. It didn't hurt, but it I did provide laughs for everyone in eyeshot.

a bit off topic, but my worst fall was at an overhanging gym bouldering wall, dynoing only about about five feet above the ground. there was (i now realize) a worthless pad underneath, and my landing was the worst imaginable-my ankle made contact with the ground first, only to be crushed by the rest of my body, extending it out way past how far it's supposed to go. i tore my ligaments and it swelled up to about the size of a balloon the next day. now, almost three months later, i'm back climbing (finally!). so height isnt everything... :wink:

I took some 12-20 footers in Bishop this summer, onto double staked pads, it was a little scary but the landings never hurt, or even really bottomed out the pads. Good times though...

I fell for two weeks straight off of Tim's Sloper Problem in Squamish. It was probably about tem feet but sends you flying done the hill if fall from the mantle. Fell from about fifteen feet on a slab called Portal Combat at Haycock (Haycocks answer to HP40s Mortal Kombat). That landing really sucked, but was well padded and my spotter saved me from a few broken bones.

In castle wood canyon. my feet where at about twelve feet off the deck. i was unhurt thanks to a good spot and a few pads.

Not bouldering but there is a wall in the UK called kendal climbing wall and it is 18m high - due to a bad belayer the guy fell the length - broke a leg and hip and many ribs - but is still alive thankfully.

A few years ago I remember watching a video on climbxmedia that showed Jason Kehl and Mike Auldridge working and taking falls off a 30+ foot high ball problem. I think Jason finished it. It’s a shame that website went down. I don’t think any other climbing sites has come close to it's quality.

5 meters or so, out of the bloody crash pad, twice in a row as i really wanted to finish the problem but it was a sandy landing so no injuries.

28-30 foot fall on my ankle. poor pad placement, dirty top out, no spotters. will never make that mistake again. way more cautious and careful about my landings now. doctor says "good news: you've got really strong tendons, bad news: your tendon ripped off a chunk of your ankle bone about the size of a quarter."

Fell towards the middle. Its got a scary ass topout and I was getting pumped and when the thought of that topout hit me...I freaked...and fell. Fortuantly i had pads an spotter , so it wasn't that bad.

I did the same thing to one of my toes in a bad skydiving landing. Doc said the tendon pulled away a (albeit smaller) chunk of bone of one of the bones off the top of the foot (metatarsal to tarsal ligament pulled bone off tarsal. spelling and terminology all under question)

I've fallen twice at 25 feet in jtree without injury. Then again, i tore a posterior ligament in my ankle on a 4 foot fall cause i rolled it on the edge of the pad.

I fell from about 1 metre from the top of the Rambandit crack at Castle Hill in New Zealand (my back yard). Which must be about 5.5-6 metres. Walked away uninjured. Glad I had good spotters and a bunch of pads. Still have this as my project highball problem. It is very scary now.

Highest fall while bouldering, 20 ft., a few times.
Highest fall taken and getting hurt, 12 ft. (2 major compression fractures
in the T 7 and 8 Vertebrae.

let me see highest fall was about 12-15feet at jtree no injury but i had 5-6ft at the gym hit the corner of the with my ankle and rolled it. those pads can be dangerous
