I've been doing some climbing at Beacon, always looking for new people to go with. If you haven't been there, and love crack climbing, go check this place out. 400ft basalt columns.

Also wondering if anyone has climbed the Opal Creek Wall, near Detroit, Oregon, or has some beta or old topos.

I've never been to either, but I'm down with doing some climbing, if you ever wanna go, I'll go, just give me some notice. I'd like to check out that Opal Creek wall, never heard of it before. Let me know, there are plenty of others that climb around the area, we should get a small outting together.

I would love to check out some of the climbing around you. I know there is a Quarry somewhere around there. Are you familiar with this?

I've read about it, haven't ever been there, I've asked around a bit, neither had anybody else. In eugene there is alot of climbing, but that's a ways off from me, and especially you!

It's called Harlen Roadside Quarry. It's south of a community called Burnt Woods. I have vague directions to the place. I would be glad to PM them to you if your interested.

Beacon Rock is a traditional climbing area. However there are a few bolted lines, that usually require at least one peice of natural protection. The place is phenominal.

It takes both cams and stoppers very well, it depends on the route.
