Who's up for it ??? artm, meadors, boretribe, jt512, toobigtoclimb, pbcowboy77, jeepmonkey, climbingjoy, froggy, betaflash, etc... ??? I'd include stinky_lizard & truedecker, but they're heading to Owens. [ This Message was edited by: rrradam on 2002-08-16 13:41 ]

I'd be up for joining but already have plans for Tahquitz/Suicide. Owen's is going to be f*cking baking if you'll excuse my language. It was well over 100 in Bishop last weekend, probably 90 at Clark Canyon so we chased the shade. It was near 90 at 11000 on Saturday coming down from our route! josh

The price is much higher than that Brian... Your mission is to steal and deliver to Karen, 'WeeWee the Big Wall Crab'.

Big wall crabs! Those are rare. I had them once back in '73...or was it '74?

FWIW, pbjosh is dead on. I was in Bishop at the beginning of the week and it was sweltering. Wed and today I was at Lover's Leap and was dripping in the shade. Thank God LL doesn't have an approach like Suicide or Tahquitz! My daughter and I did a couple of moderate Sierra routes this week as well. It was so hot one day that I took off my shirt. My daughter took great glee in pointing out that, not only had old age brought me back hair, but that it is turning gray. I pointed out that she may have the same genes laying dormant. The last few pitches were pretty quiet... But, anyway, it has been an exceptionally hot and breezeless trip. -jjf
