The tree shadow is trying to eat you... i'd hide behind the gutter man... the texture on the left side is cool.. not sure if i dig the gutter there or not.. it's either weirdly white or a good stop to the picture.. either way it defniitely makes you think about it being there grr i gotta go climb with more people so i can actually take some pics instead of spotting

ok I don't want to overload the page with pics so the shot up there has been updated (gutter removed very sloppy, i'll do a better job on the full size pic). here is the link to the first post http://www.umsl.edu/...99/dark-alley-o1.jpg

 dang people ... it's like, gutter .. wait, no gutter .... yes do the gutter. I know it's a little hard to coment on such an artsy shot, but what about the framing? All I had to to do get that "black border" the way it is, was to burn the bottom and top a little. would you want to see it cropped closer?

thank you, It was, as the title says, around 2 am. I got pulled over later that night taking a pic of something else. The cop was like, uhh it's 2:30 in the morning and about 8 degrees - is there really no better time to be doing this?? I shrugged and said, most artists are weird that way. He left me alone thne (than GOD, because I didn't have my ID or anything on me)

I have a few enlargments of that one but I had to turn them in - they are also on fiber paper and not pressed yet, so that crumpled ass shit wouldn't scan worth a damn. I upped the contrast in PS so I'd ballpark the filter between 3 and 4. Interesting shot there btw, very interesting fog you got there (film-fog). Was that like 20 or 30 second expsoure ??

Fog is real fog.. started raining. hence the rain drop splashes on the lens. One of those things that just works out to be a cool picture. Was probly a 8-10 sec exposure.. i dont remember and never write those things down. (tho i do write down the enlargment info so i can reprint off the negs if i want) ahh.. fiber.. never had to use it so i didn't.. couldnt fathom waiting like an hour for one print. All about 5-10 mins max then blow dry haha. gaddammit now i miss the dark room.
