I'm looking for the climbing community's help in assembling a list of outdoor climbing competitions. I am primarily interested in annual events, and would like to know where it is located, how long it has been run, and approximately how many competitors attend. I am interested because I am doing research for the event that I organize, and I will start the list off with that one. Governor Stable Competition Bainbridge, PA Held every Spring (April 1, 2006) This will be its 5th year. 200 competitors.

Clearly the Southeastern Climbers Coalition is the reigning diety of outdoor comps!! Also, haven't they done an outdoor comp at that festival at the New for the past several years?

The RRGCC will again be hosting an outdoor comp at Torrent Falls during our Rocktoberfest 2006 event. Rocktoberfest is usually scheduled in conjunction with the weekend of Canadian Thanksgiving. This year that weekend is also when Houndears is scheduled, Oct. 7th & 8th. We have talked about moving our event to the next weekend or maybee we shouldn't worry because the number of competitors for Houndears is limited? We are also considering holding an outdoor competition during our 2006 Rawkus Rendezvous event to be held Memorial Day weekend. We will be getting an announcement out about the Rendezvous within the next week.
