It will be a winter time there in July, so only crags in the north or right on the coast can be climbed: New South Wales: - Nowra, 2.5 hrs south of Sydney - Sport climbing (highly recommended, camping available across the river) - Point Perpendicular (sea cliffs), .5 hr east from Nowra - Sport/Trad (not bad, but scary rock) Queensland: - Frog Buttress (Mt French Nat. Park) 1 hr south-west of Brisbane - Trad (this is THE premier crack climbing crag in Aus., awesome lines and rock, camping available) There is no single book that covers all them. Check out (still being developed) http://www.climbing.com.au/crags/guide.php One more thing - for most sport routes (e.g. Nowra) in Australia you'll require own bolt plates (get them in Sydney in any climbing store - there are few on Kent street in the city), since rings/fixed plates have been used sparingly, only on really hard stuff. Good luck

There are many option and some of these are Wollumbin-Mt Warning, Mt Gower, Mt Kosciuszko NSW, Mt Barney, Qld, Walshs Pyramid, Qld. Many people go there for adventure activities and enjoy the views of these top Australian mountains. ---------- List of things to do when you are in Tamborine Mountain. http://www.mountainedge.com.au/things-to-do/
