The 2006 annual Governor Stable Bouldering Competition will be held on April 1. Further details and event registration will be available January 23. With over 300 competitors, spectators and volunteers, this is the largest bouldering event in the Northeast. The competition is organized by the Pennsylvania Alliance of Climbers, and all money raised goes directly to keeping the Governor Stable boulders open to climbers. Visit paclimbers.org for more info.

Josh, my wife is pregnant this year and can't compete, but would like to volunteer to be a judge. Also, during the next 10 weeks, we are both available to help clean the boulders, trail maintenance, etc. Looking forward to another successful comp.

This March, PAC will also be joining with the Philadelphia Rock Gym and REI to bring the Banff Mountain Film Festival to Philadelphia as an access fund raiser. The money raised will be earmarked for crag projects in the Philadelphia area which we will complete later in the Spring. More details will be forthcoming.

Climbing is permitted on the trail days, as long as you stay out of our way!
