Got out yes..... but not so much for me but my daughter. Took a good long hike. She did some bouldering along the way. She shocked the hell out of me when she pulled herself up on these little crimpers. By the time we got back to the house she dropped down to her knees in the front yard and told me to carry her. Yeah, 3:00 A.M. That's the hours of the restaurant business. It doesn't help that my commute is approx. an hour. Climb on! Sean

Dudemanbu and myself threw down on Friday, he led this henious 5.8 variation on this sandbagged 5.4, it was nuts, half way up following it, I burst into tears, and I wasn't even leading, he has one cool head. Later... we sent some crazy unrecorded boulder problems in the woods south of Main Cliff. I recorded them in the rc.com guide, but I haven't seen anything about them anywhere else. Some good lines, some chossy garbage. Go check it out. Word dev

The only reason he cried was because of the 40 mile an hour winds and 37 degree temperature. He was racing as quickly as possible while cleaning to make sure he got to the top before i went hypothermic. Anyone up for climbing tomorrow (sunday) on some traprock?

I'm not exactly sure where pinnacle rock is. I'd like to go, and if someone could put up directions that'd be great.

Directions to Pinnacle From Waterbury:I-84 east to exit 34, Crooked St., make a left at end of ramp. Go to end of road for about 1/4 mile. Make a left at light. Go about 3/4 mile to a VW car dealer on right corner - make right at light. Go about a mile up to you see a pond on left, cliffs on right. Park anywhere there are no parking; signs. From Hartford:I-84 west to exit 33, route 72, get off at 1st exit make a right at end of ramp. Make a left at light by VW dealer onto Metacomet. Go about a mile up to you see a pond on left, cliffs on right. Park anywhere there are no "no parking" signs. Hike: Trial is across from pond by dirt pull off. Hike up until you see cement blocks then head right up small path to base of cliffs. Continue right along base.

jd have you been over to laddins rock in Greenwitch :?: There is some bouldering and some very short top rope climbs. Mountain laurel in Fairfield is O.K. I have my daughter with me tomorrow, so we might head over to laddins rock for some bouldering. Sean

major climbing goin' on last week Tuesday was great at Pinnacle, and Thursday a few of us headed over to Ragged. Dudemanbu onsighted the most sandbagged climb this side of the Mississippi, and I continue finishing off climbs that I have previously retreated. Noseblob got a good sampling of what CT had to offer, the good and the bad, hope he had a good time. It was great. you should have been there dev

again, this tuesday Dudemanbu and myself were too stupid to realize the weather was too crappy to climb we did some more bouldering around Main Face at Ragged. The problems were dirty, but fun. Its snowing today, maybe I should get my ice tools back out.
