Actaully I wear Canadian standard issue Military Parachute pants, and tehy are fantastic. they give you enough mobility to high step like a fiend, but durable enough to last for years. I've had mine for almost 4 years now. Camping, climbing, canoeing etc.

i wear board shorts. they're made of this fabric we call rip stop. very light, quick drying, and very durable.

I bought a pair of Mexican marine equivalent camo pants, and they are awesome. Only gripe is the fabric is so thick they get hot as heck in the summer.
