I found some really cool boulder problems on a canoe trip through Boquilas and Santa Elena canyons a few years back. There was a particular HUGE boulder in Santa Elena that had a beautiful 13a-ish looking fingercrack going up it, very steep, probably about 60 feet. The big disappointment that most people have about Big Bend is that they see pics of huge, thousand foot cliffs that turn out to be choss; as far as I know, there is comparatively little multipitch potential there.

That sounds like some pretty good climbing in a cool place. I apologize if my zing was lame, misformatted, and a waste of everyone's time.

FWIW, which ain't much, Tom Lyde and Rob Middleton put up a multi-pitch route in (I think) Santa Elena canyon about 20 years ago. I've seen the photos, but couldn't tell you where the route is. I assume Rob is still in Durango, but don't know that for sure either.
