i'm looking for information on what exactly different holds are made of... what makes the old rigid holds like pusher different from the new flex-y holds like egrips? what exactly is that backing on voodoo and so ill holds? i've tried hunting down information but i haven't found much. anyone know? p.s. "they are resin" isn't quite enough

That's classified information. Most of the hold companies have probably spent hundreds maybe thousands of dollars to get the right texture and right ingredients for their holds, they aren't going to tell you that secret on a public forum, actually they will probably never tell you.
