You know where that old gas station is right out of town. The small one. Well you go past there and then you take the next exit right after that. Get off and go for a ways until you see the dirt road and then go down that for about thirty minutes. I think you'll see it on your right. Great place, I go there all the time. I'm not sure if it is the same place you meant, but it sounds like similiar.

I think the real name of the climbing area is called cougar crag... This climbing area is featured in the San Diego County climbing guide.
