How long have you been climbing for then Paul? It's nice to see new members to the site. Thanks for your post, although I didn't find it all that helpful.

Biography
Paul Stott
Climber, Hill Walker and Expeditions man
Paul was born in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. At the age of seven he moved to Totnes, Devon and joined the scouts where he fell in love with hill walking, expeditions and water sports.
He spent most of his teenage years on Dartmoor normally every weekend he could once he had finished his Saturday job. His love of mountains began when he guided his father up Snowdon at the age of eleven!
Having spent many years wandering around most of the UK's wilderness areas Paul has also taken part in events such as the 4 inns walk in the peak district, and some of the LDWA 100 mile walks, as well as other long distance walking events. At the age of 27 he thought he was too old to do these and choose to walk for the ecology, and just for the shear hell of it if you ask him why he does it the reply will be "because it's there!".
Our Paul is also trained to ML and SPA standards and in his own words "is a complete gear geek!". At present Paul lives in Twickenham with his partner Sarah and now has more mountain shoes than Emelda Marcos and a room just dedicated to kit.
Paul has climbed, walked and kayaked all over Europe and the Far East. From routes in Slovakia and the French Alps to the Cameroon highlands in Malaysia and the cliffs of Thailand. He has also recently completed bagging all the Wainwrights in the Lakes. Now he has to finish off the Munros which should hopefully take him the next thirty years.

been climbing about twenty years ever since i was 11. train as an instructor and now teach in the uk what about yourself

Anyone else think its funny that Ocho Sports "Resident Rock Monkey" (and dispenser of "expert advice") has recently claimed the lofty grade of HVS? :lol:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't HVS roughly equivalent to a 5.10a?
Of course, lack of experience never stopped anyone on RC.com from giving advice either.... :roll:

Well. Sarcasm can wear off the skin. Paul it would have been better not to approach the climbing community as if they are retarded. Next time: "Hey everyone, I have a website about outdoor life and would like to share it with you. Plus you might be able to buy some equipment!" Most people in the RC.com world hate pretense. :oops:
