Mark Inglis lost both legs below the knee to frost bite in the early '80s when he was forced to spend two weeks in a snow cave on the middle peak of Mt. Cook weathering a storm.

He has gone on to win a Silver medal in track cycling in the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games. In 2002, 20 years after his previous attempt, he summit Mt Cook (3754m), New Zealand's highest mountain. More recently he summited Cho Oyu (8201m) becoming the first double amputee to have summited an 8000m peak.

Currently, Mark is attempting to climb Everest. Progress can be followed here. In typical fashion, Mark is not simply pursuing a personal goal. Another objective of his expedition is to raise funds for The Cambodia Trust and more specifically itís Kompong Chnnang Limb Centre.
