Howdy.

Imagine the scenario - you've gone away for a couple of days, maybe bouldering, maybe climbing. You go back to your site of an evening, and start to slackline a bit. After a few days, you get a bit bored of slacklining, and fancy something different; what do you do?

Basically, i think slacklining is a "climbing-related" activity, and I'm looking for a few more. Being from England, slacklining isn't as big as it is in the states, so i wondered what else you guys did.

Cheers.

I was gonna say hacky sack and drinking as well... But if you are looking for somethign to do at the end of the day of climbing, I have always found that stretching is a good way to make sure you feel better the next day, whether it is a climbing, hiking, biking, whatever trip...

I've never had that happen.

Try playing the game SLACK. It's when you do a trick and then the next person has to repeat the trick. If they can't do it they get an S and so forth. If they do stick the trick than they have to stay on the line and do another trick. Whoever gets to SLACK first is the loser.

Try out Freerunning or "Parkour" As they call it. It has some major parallels to combing, Itís great for people that donít live near cities, and no mountains, and it has allot to do with finesse, movement and whatnot... The link to one of the main Parkour websites is

Drinking and climbing photography!!!

Just drink more and stay longer at the campfire.

The next day: get up later and take pictures of routes you climbed the days before....

I've never gotten slacklining as "climbing related." Is it just the gear similarities? The idea of rigging two anchors is definitely appealing to the inner gearhead, so then playing around on the webbing must be the rationale for that otherwise pointless work. On the face of it, slacking seems like it would more relate to surfing/boardsports. I guess those guys have enough problems figuring out how to work the bindings and leashes tho  . Maybe if there were mixed routes that had slackline interludes in the middle!? I'm sure this has been debated to death...More power to the slackers!

More ideas? Definitely recreational drug use. Hiking and such. How many times does our tunnel vision limit the scope of our vision to just staring at a rock wall without taking in the rest of an area? You may stumble upon some hidden climbing gem. Music is fun if you've got the knack. I need to start hanging with more climber/musicians. Anybody picking some tunes between climbs in the bay area?

would you mind to share your definition of "teabagging" ?!

Is it really what I'm thinking it is? because if so, I would defenitly prefer to climb on, even if I don't have a single pice of skinn left on my fingers!!!

cheers

Yoga and taking photos of other climbers. Way to practice getting good shots and easy way to meet other climbers.

you dirty bastards with your teabags.

slack lining is the shit, i recently put my first one up in my front yard....25 feet. so not that long but awesome. long boarding is what my friends and i do after a comp or just a home wall session. though i suck at both.

Back in the late 80's or so a lot of us would line up the empty beer bottles and walk on them... the more you drank, the longer the course you could build.

(Sheesh ... I can't believe no one fell and sliced anything open. If I saw one of MY kids doing that, I'd probably freak....)
