my friend ordered some gear from these characters over a week ago...maybe ten days...and the stuff hasn't arrived. the website is now down, the 1-800 number is engaged all the time and he is beginning to think he's been stiffed! the other curiious thing is that their logo (a goat) is the exact same as pagan mountaineering from moab, just reversed and in red, and i mean the *exact* same. i hate to be seen as suspicious, but either they have major problems, or it's a scam website...all opinions welcome...especially ones that are informed ones! cheers!

I've always received timely deliveries from Pagan Gear, and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with them again.

pagangear.com and climbingshoes.com are both run out of an outfit in Portland called Climb Max. The guys in that store have always been wicked helpful so my guess is there's technical difficulties somewhere. If you can't get ahold of them with the 800 number, try Climb Max at (503) 797-1991

I got my crash pad from pagan gear... had no problems... it actually took less time for them to get it to me than it did for me to warn my roomates something giant was coming in the mail

I've ordered from them once and had a bit'o'problem with the timelyness in delivering and getting my product out there door....but not to worry, it got to me. I always give industries like that some leeway, cause you never know when they get slammed hard with orders in the spring season. Monk

The people who work for Pagan Gear are good folks and I have had only pleasant experiences there (and they are ussually good about online orders). I hope they get your situation remedied and make it up to you, because they do have loyal customers and great prices.

It's a real place, so don't worry about that. I was just in there a couple of days ago. Sucks your order is taking a while though.

It took my roommate 3 calls and 2 and a half weeks to get his stuff from pagan gear. I know that they dont return phone calls in a timely manner even when their 1-800 isnt down. -Aaron

Did anyone actually read the post? His friend didnt buy from pagan he bought from some random website that used their logo reversed and in red. Sounds like a scam to me.

They worked great for me. I had to return my shoes twice before setlling on a size, and they were very prompt and polite. I recommend them highly. Marc B.
