this isn't from rc.com (but it used to be here, i swear). i can't find a link to just the photo, so here's the url of the page containing it:

http://image12.webshots.com/...8122732BHFnvo_ph.jpg rocco spina chalks up

I've met Rocco - this photo is probably 20yrs OLD. He likes to (try too) impress the girls by climbing barefoot.

to find the url for any photo, right click it and chose PROPERTIES, copy the url from there.

HAHA! Is Nate farting or going for the heel hook?

I told him I wanted to climb on his mom. He got pretty mad. I'll have to search for some funny ones I remeber a few from some funny ass trips.

You are almost right on the money. The photo was taken about 21 years ago. Say Hi to Rocco, if you see him around.

There is a picture on this thread of some white wanna be gansters with a link to see more...DO NOT GO THERE!!!! I wanted to get my laugh on some posers and that site infected my girlfriend's computer with some kind of pop up virus that just buries my computer in popups. So far I haven't been able to get rid of it. STAY AWAY from that site at all costs...and yes I have anti virus, adware etc. and I can't seem to do a system restore...wasn't worth the laugh.

Description: I led this 5.4 for a warmup that I would have rather soloed, but this was my friend's first time at Devil's Lake and first time on real rock and first time cleaning trad and first time belaying lead. It was a day of firsts for him.
apparently it was also his first day holding a camera

oh, and i think you have '5.4' confused with '4th class'

hmmm, no actually this is just a really poor picture of a 5.4, Cleo's Amphitheatre, Devil's Lake, North(-west?) face. Very clear in the guidebook that it is 5.4 And believe me, I solo the thing regularly but like I said...that's my partner's first lead belay. And yes, I know the picture sucks.

[quote="grinspoon"]Sometimes I can't help but laugh at some of the photos people post on here. I find it so amusing I think it deserves it's own thread. Post up the goofiest, n00best, saddest photos that make you embarrassed to be a climber. I'm bored so I'll go first...

http://www.rockclimbing.com/...p.cgi?Detailed=68216

I didn't see any other comments on this one after 12 pages of searching, so....I'll preface by saying I hate the people always making "overbolting" comments on routes they've never climbed, but....This route is bolted for the climber who has frequent dizzy spells? If you often collapse after standing up, much less trying to get to the first clip, then this climb has the perfect bolt situation you. That and the dopey faces cap this one off.

i think homeslice may run out of draws on this one, and have to lower off...

 "homeslice" Yeah, if he doesn't have one of his dizzy spells first. I mean, look at it, it's the most pathetic belay/lead situation ever! Their faces kind of have that "caught in the act" look too. Where the fuck was this taken? I'd definitely feel "dirty" after climbing there.

Oh God! I just noticed that Homeslice is brandishing the quickdraw for his next bolt. Brandishing! That should be the first bolt, yet it is the third. Am I wrong here? What is that first bolt protecting? Is this climb called Epilectic's Delight?

I know this route looks like a 5.3, but if you factor in the rope drag it is actually more like 5.10

To be fair, you can't see the landing in the picture, and it is TECHNICALLY possible that the belayer is standing on the edge of a 20-foot dropoff, where a fall on even the first move could spell trouble...

But for some reason I don't think that this is that kind of a route.

How does the saying go? "If you can't laugh at yourself. . .something. . .something. . .something. . .?"

Here I am taking a nap on Ancient Art. I needed a little more jump and a lot less hump. Once I got on top of the diving board, I thought it was a great place to lay down and close my eyes while my gigling partner took photos.

But for some reason I don't think that this is that kind of a route.

I thought about that too, but that seems unlikely since the belayer isn't anchored to anything and is just standing around. If there were a dropoff then he'd get pulled into the cliff and would have to hold himself and his partner from falling, after which he'd have to figure out how to rescue himself and the leader.

Of course, the belayer could be utterly clueless as well.
