does anyone know any website for rock climbing in Egypt? We are planning to go to Dahab,just wondering if we can check out climbing in nearby area.thanks

....you'll find endless climbing in the Sinai.... some of it imaculate granite.... whatever you do DON'T go in summer! You find the best times around October or April.... it never rains, but nights and even days are very cold in winter. Check out Reef 2000. I think Dave, the guy who own it, should be able to hook you up with someone who climbs. That's if the same network of people exist there now. I was there a few years ago for six months. There are a heap of canyons along the coast, like Wadi Rum, where you'll find quite a few bolted routes. A friend of mine, Erik and an Italian guy Enzo Ferrara, I think put up a lot of climbs near Dahab from about 1996 onwards. Up at Mt Sinai you'll find endless granite walls, some up to 2000 feet high. Good luck and enjoy the desert.... you'll NEED to take up diving if you don't already.
