On the face it, this is a story of a tourist attraction, but scratch the surface and you discover a story of a climber who put his money where his mouth was and bought his own slice of a classic climbing area for everyone to enjoy.The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has the story.

yeah, but it sucks the place has been closed for real climbing until further notice. Haven't climbed out Seneca rocks yet so can't really complain.

the good routes at nelson are off limits due to "liability concerns" but you can pay to follow the tourist trail to the summit.

i was skeptical for a good reason when i heard a lawyer had bought this crag. the place looked a lot better before the ridiculous Via bridge was strung up, and hundreds of holes were drilled into the rock IMO.
