Who needs a woodie when you can have a programmable, rotating climbing wall. The Cedar Falls Courier has the story.

The Treadwall? That thing's been around for quite a while, but smalltown media can be easy to surprise at times.

My gym (standard gym, not climbing) had one for awhile... If someone was trying to figure out a way to make indoor climbing feel even less like actual climbing, this is it. The whole thing shakes, you're confined to a 4' x 3' area, and the fundemental idea of it - a treadmill - ruins the climbing experience... I'll make my next move when I'm damn well and ready to and not until that time. That said, I don't run on treadmills for the same reason, so...

Just built a climbing wall myself down the side of the house under a shelter for the car. Can't believe how much enjoyment i've got over the last few weeks out of such a small piece of plywood - how sad! And, how fit my fingers have got from only about 15 mins workout every day.
