Hey Elana; You may want to clarify your statement that you are willing to take risks. People may take that the wrong way. Nothing wrong with enthusiasm, but most climbers don't think that they take risks (to a larger degree than the average person who doesn't climb) Good luck!! Paul

You're right Paul about the taking risks thing - when I see that a 16 year old girl is offering herself up to "take risks" in exchange for climbing instruction I wonder about the legal implications In all honesty, though, I've ALWAYS recommended to female friends that they simply let it be known they want to be taken trad climbing and someone will invariably offer to show them the ropes. Harder for guys, I guess we're not as cute. josh

Josh, I agree with you all the way. I don't think good looking girls will ever have a shortage of climbing partners in this sport.

coreyr is correct. Since I haven't been able to climb with my partner, due to him "needing space," I have had more than enough climbing buddies. Don't worry -- they'll come out of the woodwork (so to speak). Just have fun and CLIMB ON!!! Jules

I'm not sure on this risk-taking thing. I think I tale much more risk than any sedintary (sp?) person. Of course, I try to minimize the risk as much as possible, but half of the fun is putting yourself in a place where it takes all your skill and knowledge to get through. Anyway, I am actually going to be in Boston next week, Monday through Thursday. I, of course, won't have time to go craggin, but I may be able to go to a gym one evening. Can anyone recommend a good one in the Boston area (I will have a car, so driving a bit is no big deal). Thanks, Marcus

Sorry guys. I have to disagree. Some people feel that taking risk is what addicts them to that activity. I mean, I am in NO WAY suggesting that anyone should go off to see how far they could push it. Speaking for myself, sometimes the way sharp end is the way to go. A F'up is not an option. It kinda simplifies everything. Just my thoughts, that's all. Later, Melon
