Hey, VAL DI MELLO, AUGUST 11-15 Robert (soulslide) has told me that they will be there with the very nice German group that most of you met last time. I will probably be going too, hopefully with Filippo, and some other people that I might persuade to come. (Still looking for a slab ropegun... volunteers?) So we decided to make it VDM Gathering 2.0. Organizational contact is Robert. H.

I would love to attend, of course money is a big concern right now. If I can beat up enough kids and steal their lunch money I may be able to make it. I'll let you know. I of course volunteer my services as a ropegun if I'm there.

steve-o, that would rock - as usual! if it helps, you could come to trento and share the ride to VDM, dunno if that saves you any money tho. If I have news from Filippo later this week about his plans, I'll let you know. We were thinking of spending the whole week there (and not coming to ettringen because it's pretty far - and money is a concern also here)

Or somewhere around.Plan is simple-Cassin on Badile or Punta Santa Anna and then something in VDM- maybe ill convice her to be my Belay slave and Jumar robot on Qualido.I have some unfinished bussines there. My Apologize- i send this reply again on another topic.

It will be hot, but it's also close to Trento... and Germany will not be any cooler as it seems. Should be going for routes up in the mountains anyway.

don't think it's necessary to book. we always call, and every time they laugh at us b/c the campsite isn't even half-full. Robert, could you maybe give more details on transportation from your side? there might be people from further north wanting to come, and if there is space in your cars you might be able to share the ride or so. Don't know, just an idea.

Ok, about transportation. at the moment we are about six in two cars, but we have 3 cars availlable. so 3 more people are possible, including gear and maybe crashpads and stuff. we are leaving from augsburg, which is close to munich (about 45 minutes by train), then heading south, via austria (fernpass), switzerland (st. moritz) to italy. @ heiko: are you still open to climb some, at least one, route with me at the weekend. maybe already on saturday?

I'm not usually one to bail on a trip, but sadly I don't think I'll be making it to this one. Checked my tires before going to Brussels last weekend and one is quite low on tread. Thanks for sharing that tire-blowout story with me Heiko cause that's what I think about now while driving! Gotta get new tires before I take more trips to Italy. Even getting to Augsburg is quite far for me. Dare I say I may actually try to get a part-time job! Entering the workforce is a scary prospect after bumming it for so long.
