I was climbing the Rib Monday with my youngest daughter when I noticed a bolted sport route going up the cliff just about 10 feet to the right of the belay ledge. From that viewpoint I could see at least 5 bolts going up a very difficult route. So I went home and looked in the old Steele guidebook and the next climb to the right is much farther than that--and no mention is made of a bolted route anywhere.
So my question is, who bolted this route? What's it called? What is the grade? It looks like the kind of deal I wouldn't do with trad gear (pro looks sketchy) but I might give it a shot if there is something to clip onto. I've NEVER climbed a sport route before so it might be fun to try.
