My brother kind of got me into this climbing barefoot thing. Maybe it's just that my shoes don't fit right, but I love doing it.

Yesterday I got a blister on my big toe and it filled in with some dust/dirt. It didn't hurt any more than a blister, but it sure looked painful. I know I need to develop some calloses.

Does anybody else like to climb footloose?

(editing helps my grammar)

I have never done it outside, but when I used to work in a gym, I climbed barefoot regularly. I built up some huge callouses on all of my toes, and I was amazed at some of the super small holds that I could stick to . Not very good for smearing though .

Yeah, I was outdoor climbing. I have never tried indoor bare foot. Maybe when it is snowing and I have some money.

I didn't plan on it at first. I was halfway up when my feet hurt too bad to keep going. So I droped them and finished the climb. Then I did it twice more.

It is a weird sensation to have to chalk up your feet! Thank goodness for chalk balls.

I do it occasionally on easy terrain. Yesterday it was hot and humid, so I even chalked up my feet. fun.
