I'll be in Berlin for work the first week of Sept. Meetings are scheduled all day/everyday but I'd like to spend any free time that I might have climbing (even if it's plastic.)

Are there any good climbing gyms in Berlin? Probably looking to boulder since I won't have a partner.

I don't think Tisar has seen this yet... TISAR.... CALLING TISAR... :D

Angela, I'mI don't think your gym choices are going to be the easiest, but I'm sure Daniel (tisar) can tell you status of the famous bouldering park. If you don't hear from him here, send a pm...

Hi there!

Gotta leave, so short:

Two gyms: http://www.t-hallberlin.de/, http://www.Magic-Mountain.de, both provide great climbing, I prefer t-hall for the atmosphere and the price.

Besides that there are tons of outdoor climbing facilities, i.e. concrete towers of different shapes. Climbing here is for free mostly (2€ at the http://www.derkegel.de/index.php?section=1, which is pretty new). A nice boulder is in the Volkspark Friedrichshain.

People here are pretty nice and open, most of them speaking some english. You'll get along pretty sure. Just drop me a line, I'll be happy to show you around a little. My brother and rope gun of choice will be in France soon, so I'm always open for new climbing partners :D

http://www.klettern-in-berlin.de/index.php

http://www.climbing-area.info/cab_ie.htm

this is the best link: http://userpage.fu-berlin.de/~aboehme/

If you have a good level (from UIAA 6+ on) try umboldthain for sure! I have had a great deal of fun there. Hard and very technical limbs.
There are also a few verygood concrete towers build (i did work for that company in the time they build them) And like above mentioned, a few gyms also.

It's fun to climb in Berlin.
