Was there for a short morning climb and was informed by one of the sheriff's officers patrolling the area that they are ticketing people for not using designated trails when walking along the top to access the anchors. There has been a lot of erosion and damage to plant life by climbers (I'm sure your every day beach goers are doing damage as well but the officer pointed out climbers specifically) walking off of the main trail and making short cuts.

He asked us to spread to word, so I just wanted to post up a little warning for climbers so they can avoid a ticket. If the problem continues they'll consider closing the area to climbing so stay on the designated trails.

Cheers,
Jason

The erosion has gotten really bad. STAY ON THE MAIN TRAIL. It takes an extra two minutes, and you'll get more exercise. Another option is to lead the route. I'll repeat for clarity. STAY ON THE MAIN TRAIL.

Wow thanks for the heads up Jason. I'll stay on the trail!
