The NACC will be run according to UIAA Rules. UIAA Climbing defines an adult as anyone who turns 16 years of age in 2006.

USA, Canada & Mexico are each allowed to enter 10 male and 10 female adult competitors in the North America Continental Championship. Adult competitors must be members of USAC but do not necessarily have to have competed in a USAC competition in the last year.

There are likely to be spots available for US Adult climbers. Many of the high end youth competitors are likely to enter in their respective youth categories. If a youth competitor becomes the Continental Champion, UIAA Climbing grants a bye to the Youth Worlds for 2007 & 2008.

Adult competitors are asked to submit an e-mail detailing competition finishes over the past calendar year. Please submit this information to awb@usaclimbing.org no later than Sept. 11, 2006. Qualified adult competitors will be notified on Sept. 13, 2006.

Youth-aged competitors born in 1990 or earlier may choose to compete as adults, but may not compete as both an adult and a youth.

More information is available at www.USAClimbing.org .
