Planning a road trip from the 29th to the 6th down to NC to get away from the chill up north. Is anyone available to climb with a crazy canadian gal in that time?

No one climbs on ropes in NC, rope climbing is for losers.
But seriously if you don't have a partner here already it can be kind of hard to hook-up with someone and then the fact that a lot of people ONLY boulder. You could hangout at Espresso news coffee shop in Boone, all the climbers go through there. I dislike trad climbing unless it is something like stone mountain otherwise I would try and help.

I don't know what Organic is talking about...probably just typing something for the sake of typing something.
NC will have your pick of just about anything you want to climb at that time of year...maybe a few of the places at the highest elevations will be a little cold. But there are plenty of areas both in the mountains and the piedmont that have southern exposure and moderate enough elevation to climb.
Hop over to Carolinaclimbers.org and post up there to look for a partner. My girlfriend and I could meet up with you somewhere...but we don't live close enough to the mountains to offer a place to stay.

Depends on what and where you want to climb. I'm ok with leading up to 5.10. I'd be up for it (weekends only, gotta fund my addiction) if you're going to be climbing in Central NC at any point. Moores wall and Sauratown are good places for trad and sport respectively, but the hike to s-town is taxing. Pilot Mtn sucks, and Western NC is awesome (alas, too far to drive for a weekend).

I'll be visiting a friend in Raleigh. Not sure where the crags are in relation, but am willing to head just about anywhere.
I'm happy with moderate routes, so .10's are great!
Acarp: I'll be driving through Virginia anyways I think if you wanted to meet up and climb ther eor NC that could work as well.

I thought the "But seriously" proceeding that sentence gave away the fact that it was intended to be sarcasm.
Let me try this again. I am so weak I cannot trad climb and my shoes are very downturned so it does not work out well.
I will trade you my trad rack for a crash pad?

LOL, might as well fight sarcasm with sarcasm though right? I do live in an igloo though.....
I don't mind bouldering myself, but if I'm driving 19hrs I wouldn't mind gaining some altitude. :p
Where's stone mountain? What's so great about it?
