On the 17 of October, Kit DesLauriers was the first woman to ski from the summit of Mount Everest. The first leg of her descent took her from the 29,305-foot peak to the South Col, at just below 26,000 feet. The following day she was to ski from South Col to Base camp. Wyoming's Casper Star Tribune reports
